Bloody Nightmares - Examination of Fear Tape
During the Covid pandemic, my daughter Esther began having anxiety nightmares. As a way of dealing with them, we decided to record her talking about them and having a conversation about how they weren’t real. The conversations allowed her to hear herself talk about the things that scared her and realize that they weren’t actually as scary when she talked about them and pulled them out of her head.
This was during lockdown and so we decided to also experiment with recording sounds around the house and eventually decided to put together the two concepts.
